Position: Field Application Specialist
As a Field Application Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical pre-sales support, developing deep product expertise, and delivering outstanding service to our customers. You will become an expert in our products, enabling you to create impactful demo and applications concepts. In this role, you will collaborate closely with your colleagues from the Sales and Solution Enablement teams to support customer engagements, deliver customer demos and manage our documentation & knowledge base platform.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Product Demonstrations: Conduct detailed product demonstrations tailored to the prospect’s needs. This includes setting up the product to reflect their use cases and demonstrating the benefits specific to their business needs.
- Functional Consultation: Offer deep technical insights to prospects and sales teams, helping to clarify how our products and services can optimize the performance within their organization.
- Pre-sales support: Partner with the sales team during the pre-sales phase by delivering technical product presentations.
- Product knowledge: You will build a deep understanding of the products and services offered by ONTOFORCE. This enables you to present ONTOFORCE’s software products credibly and with scientific and technical depth.
- Product training: Equip and train the sales team with the knowledge they need on use cases, applications and functional aspects of the products or services, ensuring they have a solid understanding of what they are selling.
- Knowledge base management: Continuously update and manage the knowledge base and asset center to ensure up-to-date technical documentation and resources are available and communicated clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Job requirements
- Masters or equivalent experience in Life Sciences (e.g., Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or related field).
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a customer-facing role within Life Sciences, preferably in technical consulting, pre-sales, or field application roles.
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills:
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and active listening skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Ability to understand customer needs and position products to align with those needs effectively.
- Strong understanding of data analytics, knowledge graphs, and data integration in the life sciences.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple customer projects effectively.
- Self-starter, driven, and resilient, with high energy and enthusiasm.
- Eager to learn new technical concepts and willing to stay up to date with trends in life sciences and technology.
